This book deals in the study and research in Karnataka history for over three decades. In this book author has tried to present cogent accounts of activities of the Marathas, the Portuguese and the Mughuls in Karnataka and also given a brief outline of cultural Renaissance in the modern period. A. brief note on backward classes movement is also added. These sectons, together with the accounts on history of the freedom and unification Movements, have been the result of his researches, published elsewhere, presented here briefly. in this book researches on the Chalukyas, Rashtrakutas, Vijayanagara Empire and Keladi are also well known.
