Experiments and experiences in higher education: a different perspective

With close to 1000 universities and more than 42000 plus colleges, India is a major educational hub in the world. Many foreign universities are keen to open their India campuses and few even did already while few more are in the process. Management education in India is comparatively a young discipline but of late it has been growing to great heights numbering more than 3000 institutions offering the under graduate and post graduate diplomas and degrees . Yes the qualification has a high job potential and a ladder for a successful career growth for the aspiring youth and to that extent it has now become an economic differentiator for the country. The country as the fifth largest economy in the world has set its eyes on becoming the third largest in the near future. Author in his 25 long years of experience in higher education has put across various experiences as teacher, author, publisher of books and projects administrator after painstakingly recollecting the details of various experiments and events with the hope that they would benefit the readers. Certain measures which are little different from the conventional practices and which yielded positive results were discussed. “Quality” was the main criteria, which resulted in massive growth of the organization.
