This book is a collection of accounts of Ten brave warriors who were willing to sacrifice their lives for motherland. Peppered with personal stories and photographs from family, friends and comrades , this book traces the lives of Major Mariappan Saravanan, Major Sonam Wangchuk, Major Rajesh Adhikari, Havildar Digendra Kumar, Lieutenant Vijyant Thapar, Major Navdeep Cheema, Lieutenant Keishing Clifford Nongrum, Lieutenant Manoj Pandey, Captain Anuj Nayyar and Captain Vikram Batra who stood apart by virtue of their decisive grit and resolve. Though remembered widely, books informing children about the war are limited and so are personal accounts of soldiers. This book aims to fill the gap and bring to the fore some outstanding acts of bravery and knowledge from the formative years of these champions till the time they became the legends they are today.
