Summary: India Exclusion Report is a collaborative effort involving institutions and individuals working with a shared no tion of social and economic equity, justice and rights. The report seeks to inform public opinion around exclu sion and the role of the state; and to influence policy making towards creating a more inclusive, equitable and just society. It is also meant to bring to the fore particular vulnerabilities faced by marginalised communities and groups, their lives and struggles. This endeavour seeks to support public action for the greater inclusion of and justice for the oppressed and the marginalised peoples of India. India Exclusion Report 2018-19 seeks to give insights into the following disadvantaged groups: Char residents of Assam, Waste workers, circular migrant workers, and out of school adolescents. The report also critically evaluates GST from an equity perspective. Finally, the report presents a critical review of inclusion and exclu sion from a range of public goods. These are food and nutrition; justice in the aftermath of communal violence; transportation and mobility; and employment for all.
