Summary: This study has been undertaken at the instance of the project Appraisal Division of the planning commission. An interim report based upon the data collected during the first round of survey i.e. for Rabi 1977-78 was released in December 1978. This is the consolidated report for one complete year (Rabi 1977-78 & Kharif 1978) and it included the findings of the interim report. It presents a comparative picture of the farm economy of users and non-users of harvest combines with respect to farm asstes, irrigation, crop ppattern and farm productivity.
