Tenth annual report of the Minorities Commission - New Delhi Ministry of Welfare 1990 - 303p.

1.01 The Minorities Commission hereby submits its Tenth Annual Report for the period from April 1, 1987 to March 31, 1988.
1.02 The Government of India, vide its Resolution No. 11-16012/2/77-NID (D) dated January 12, 1978, had set up the Minorities Commission and had also laid down the functions. entrusted to the Commission. However, this Resolution was amended by another Resolution No. IV. 12011/2/38-CLM dated March 30, 1988 to provide that the Minorities Commission would be concerned with safeguarding the interests of minorities based on religion only and the Special Officer appointed under Article 350B of the Constitution, commonly known as Commissioner for Linguistic Minorities, would not function as Secretary of the Commission, as was originally envisaged. It also reflected the correct composition of the Commission consisting of a Chairman and four Members. Copy of the Government of India Resolution as it stood amended, is reproduced as Annexure I.
